Shortlets

How booking a shortlet with AirPockets works

Reserve the dates first, pay by bank transfer in naira, and check in once a human has confirmed everything with the host. Here's the whole flow, plus the small print.

Five steps, start to key

  1. 1. Find a home you like

Search by city and dates, then filter by price, bedrooms, area and amenities. Every listing shows the full naira price for your stay — no surprise conversion at checkout.

  2. 2. Reserve for 24 hours

Enter your guest details to hold the dates. Nothing is charged yet — the hold simply takes the home off sale while you arrange the transfer.

  3. 3. Transfer in naira

Send the amount to the AirPockets account on your reservation page, using your booking reference as the narration, then tap 'I've paid' with the transfer details.

  4. 4. We confirm with the host

Our team matches the payment and re-confirms availability with the host. You get a confirmation email with the address, check-in window and host contact.

  5. 5. Check in

Arrive with a government ID matching the lead guest and your reference. The host or building concierge hands over access, and we stay reachable throughout your stay.

Vetted before it lists

Power, water, security and a contactable host are checked before a home appears in search.

Naira, no card needed

Prices are quoted and settled in naira by bank transfer. No dollar cards, no FX surprises.

Common questions

How long is my shortlet held before I pay?

We hold your dates for 24 hours from the moment you reserve. If the transfer isn't confirmed within that window the hold is released and the home goes back on sale.

How do I pay?

By bank transfer in naira to the AirPockets account shown on your reservation page. Use your booking reference as the transfer narration, then tell us you've paid so our team can match it.

When is my stay actually confirmed?

Once our team sees the funds and re-confirms the home with the host. You'll get a confirmation email with the address, check-in window and host contact.

What do I need at check-in?

A government-issued ID matching the lead guest name, and your booking reference. Some buildings also log your vehicle plate at the gate.

Is there a caution deposit?

Most serviced homes ask for a refundable caution deposit at check-in, collected by the host. The amount is shown on the property page where the host has published it.

Can I cancel or change my dates?

You can cancel a reservation yourself while it's still on hold. After confirmation, cancellation and date changes follow the host's policy shown on your booking — message us and we'll handle it with the host.
