Spending it
At checkout, the wallet card lets you apply part or all of your balance to the fare. Anything left to pay is settled by bank transfer as usual.
Does it expire?
Refund and overpayment credit does not expire. Promotional credit may carry an expiry, which is always shown on the credit itself in your wallet.
